Listen, tastebuds can change and they change fast (research shows about 3 weeks). The quicker my old self could have realized that, the quicker I would have arrived here.
For decades I searched high and low for the answer that would allow me to lose weight while still eating ALL THE THINGS I loved that were harming my health. I’m here to tell you that I still love food and I eat a wider variety now than I ever did before. My aspiration is always 100% whole plant food, but I do also keep the door open for some vegan processed items.
Here’s a snap of some of our recent meals and favourite foods. I’m not a recipe creator (I’m a cookbook addict now) so there’s no recipes here, but you can veganize anything! Not only is it easy and fun, but it’s good for the animals, the planet and your own health. Triple whammy of feel good without lacking in satiation or flavour.
It’s this triple whammy of feel good that gives me so much joy for my new lifestyle. and keeps me on path. I was crying tears of joy while cutting mushrooms one day as my health, the animals and the planet keep me on path. I am bursting with happiness and gratitude every day that I finally found this lifestyle.
Knowing now what happens in the dairy industry, it is not an option to ever go back to pizza and why would I when I now eat an array of healthful, nutrient dense food that tastes great!
